Give the unfamiliar words a meaning
Keep these words beside the offer
- Telehealth
- A health visit carried out at a distance, through a screen or another remote exchange.
- Clinician
- Someone trained in health care who reviews your history, assesses your concern and discusses a plan.
- GLP-1
- GLP-1 is a signal released by the gut that helps regulate appetite.
- Pharmacy
- The place that prepares or supplies the prescribed medicine; ask for its name as well as the care service’s name.
- FDA

- Ingredient
- The medicine substance inside a named product; semaglutide is an example.
- Generic medicine
- An approved version of a brand-name medicine that contains the same medicine ingredient. It has its own FDA approval. A pharmacy mixing a medicine for a particular person is a different thing.

- Placebo
- The comparison treatment in a study; for example, a dummy injection with no study medicine inside.
Turn each term into a question
- At a remote visit
“Can I ask the clinician questions about my own history?”
- On a medicine page
“Which ingredient is inside this exact product?”
- On a result claim
“What was the comparison group given?”
