Reading stage · WeighOffers that warrant a pause
Pause where an offer skips the checks
Pause at these gaps
- No prescription required
At the 26 September 2026 legal check, supplying a prescription drug without a valid prescription breached federal law.
- A hidden pharmacy
Ask for the name of the place that actually prepares or sends the medicine. Then use the official licence lookup.
- Approval language that blurs the product
In guidance checked on 26 September 2026, the FDA said it was misleading to call a pharmacy-mixed medicine “FDA-approved” or a “generic version” of an approved drug. A generic version has its own approval; a compounded medicine does not.
- Payment restricted to unusual methods
Federal Trade Commission advice read on 26 September 2026 treated demands to pay only by wire transfer, cryptocurrency, payment app or gift card as a scam warning. Cryptocurrency means digital money, such as Bitcoin.
Do not let a badge answer for a record
Official-looking logos and seals on a health page can be faked, the Federal Trade Commission warns.
Ask for names you can check rather than an explanation of a badge. Keep the offer open beside the public record and note any mismatch.
